He was born Nov. 21, 1909, in Mahaska County, the son of Thomas and Daily Perkins Denney. He is survived by his widow, Beulah; two daughters, Mrs. Bob Holliday of Urbandale and Mrs. Geralde DeFrehn of Grand Island, Neb., seven grandchildren; his father Thomas Denney of Oskaloosa; one brother, Walter Denney of Davenport; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Armstrong of Cedar Falls and Mrs. Clarence Ring of Riceville. Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Charles Mannhardt officiating. Burial will be in the Wymore Cemetery near Rose Hill. There will be a wake held Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the Newman Funeral Chapel.
