Slack, 67, who died Feb. 5, 1976. Jerry Rogers of the church of Christ will officiate. Mr. Slack, born in Las Vegas, N.M. had resided in Kern County the past 64 years. He was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary 77 of Bakersfield and Kern County Employees Association. He was employed by the county 23 years as a probation officer. Survivors include the widow, Anna; 2 sons, John of Bakersfield, Delbert II of Washington; 2 daughters, Della of Bakersfield, and Sharon Achor of Mission Viego; a sister, Margaret Jones of Bakersfield; a brother, Elmer of Santa Ana, and 2 grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Bernon McKinney, George Wherling, Kenneth Humphery, William Osborn, Walter Swain, Auther New. Honorary pallbearers will be Clifton Morris, Leslie Chaplin, Samuel Hall, Robert Dearden, Irlan Warren, and Glen Brown. Donations may be made to the Kern County Heart Association. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
