Daily American Republic, Poplar Bluff, Missouri, November 6, 1965, Page 2, Col. 6: Charley Bowers Rites Sunday In Rombauer Church. Charley Bowers, 61-year-old resident of Rombauer, died at the Lucy Lee Hospital Thursday after an illness of several months. He had been employed in St. Charles, Mo., and returned here earlier this year. Born April 13, 1904, he was married to the former Miss Ora Ham on July 26, 1926. In addition to his wife, he leaves one son Charles L. Bowers, St. Louis, two brothers, George of Delta and Jim Bowers, Cape Girardeau, and one sister Mrs. Alpha Ham, Route 1, Poplar Bluff. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Rombauer Church. The Rev. Chester Ham will officiate and burial will be in the Rombauer Cemetery under the direction of the Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel, Dexter.
