Daily American Republic, Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Friday, March 23, 2012, Page 6A, Col. 1: Sandra Ailene Hurst, 51, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, Mo. Mrs. Hurst was born Sept. 18, 1960, in Poplar Bluff. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and had retired as a Registered Nurse at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff. Mrs. Hurst enjoyed the computer, cross-stitching, reading and traveling. On May 16, 1992, she married Brian M. Hurst in Poplar Bluff. He survives. Survivors include a sister Susan Cato and husband, Randal of Poplar Bluff, two brothers, David Wright and wife Marlene, of Spanaway, Wash., and James McCrellis and wife Jackie, of Poplar Bluff, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian (Wright) Parker and grandparents who raised her, Dewey and Zelma Wright. A prayer service will begin at 6 p..m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with visitations following until 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father David Coon officiating. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Saint Louis, MO Office, 10820 Sunset Office Dr., Saint Louis, MO 63127.
