Daily American Republic, Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Tuesday, April 18, 1995, page 6A: Alfred S. Inman, 84, of Poplar Bluff, died at 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 17, 1995, at his residence. Mr. Inman was born July 11, 1910, in Butler County. He was a retired farmer and home builder. Mr. Inman was a member of the First General Baptist Church of Poplar Bluff and a former member of the Elks Lodge. On Dec. 19, 1931, he was married to Ellen Hosfelt at Rombauer. She survives. Other survivors include three sons, Merl Inman of Mississippi, Jerry Inman of Mena, Ark., and James Inman of Thomasville, Ala.; one daughter, Geneva Osborn of Poplar Bluff; 16 grand-children; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Visitation will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Cecil Winberry officiating and Wendell Warren assisting. Burial will be in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
