On the 1949 and 1952 Polk's Bakersfield (Kern Co., California) City Directories it shows Ilene M. Clason and Fred C. Clason residing at the same address. In both cases Fred works for S & P Co.

Texas Death Certificate shows Fred C. Clason Born in North Dakota October 14, 1904, widowed, died June 16, 1958 in Dallas, Dallas Co., Texas. He had been in Dallas 3 months living at 5535 Denton Drive. His usual home was 1331 Beale Ave., Bakersfield, California. His mother was Ella Hicks, his father was Clarence Clason. Fred was a switchman for the S & P Railway. Informant was Clyde Clason. The body was to be removed to Bakersfield, California.

Dallas Morning News of June 17 and 18, 1958: Clason---Fred C., passed away Monday. Arrangements pending. Macon-Holcomb.

Bakersfield Californian, Bakersfield, California, Saturday, June 21, 1958, Page 27, Col. 3: Clason, Fred C.---Graveside funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery for Fred C. Clason, 53, 1331 Beale Ave., who died June 16 at a Dallas, Tex. hospital. The Rev. Dale Huff will officiate. Mr. Clason was a native of South Dakota and had lived in this community for the past 14 years. He was an employee of Southern Pacific Railroad and a member of Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. He is survived by his son, Clyde, of Bakersfield. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery. The Hopson Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
