Unknown Franklin Co., Illinois area newspaper, [Sunday] April 22, 1962: Mrs. Kirkpatrick of Sesser Dies. Mrs. Burza Kirkpatrick, 64, of Sesser, died Friday morning at home. Mrs. Kirkpatrick, who had been ill for several years, was a lifelong resident of Franklin county. She was born Feb. 9, 1898, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thornton Vaughn. She leaves sons, Edward and Wayne, both of Steger; daughter, Mrs. Mildred Metzer of Sesser; brother, Guy Vaughn of Sesser; sister, Mrs. Sam Roland of Sesser; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Sesser Church of God. Burial will be in Horse Prairie Cemetery. Funeral services [Visitation] will be at 2 today at the Brayfield Funeral Home, Sesser.
