Telegraph Herald, Dubuque, Iowa, November 28, 2001, Page B6: LANCASTER, Wisconsin - Ann W. Enloe, 86, of Lancaster, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at Grant Regional Health Center, Lancaster. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at United Methodist Church, Lancaster, with Reverend Lynn Church officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Platteville. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Schwartz Funeral Home, Lancaster, and after 10 a.m. Thursday at the church. She was born Feb. 27, 1915, in Dillwyn, Va., the daughter of Harry L. and Mattie Virginia (Reynolds) Blanks. She married Newman W. Enloe on March 21, 1944, in Richmond, Va. Newman was in the Army as an officer, which allowed the couple to travel all over the United States. Ann was employed in Lancaster at the "Budget Shop", now known as "MaCandis". She dearly enjoyed all of the people she met during those years of employment. She was also a member of the Lancaster United Methodist Church and its Ruth Circle, and was involved in many other church activities. Surviving are her husband, Newman "Colonel" Enloe, of Lancaster; a daughter, Shirley (Edward W.) Callan, of San Diego; and two grandsons, Michael N. (Anna L.) Callan, of San Diego, and Daniel E. (Akiko) Callan, and their daughter, Alisa M. Callan, of Kyoto, Japan. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Lyle and Terrill Blanks; and a sister, Marguerite Ballowe. An Ann W. Enloe Memorial Fund has been established.
