Lubbock Morning Avalanche, Lubbock, Texas, Tuesday, December 2, 1947, Page 5, Col. 2: Funeral Held For Mrs. Sorgee, Who Died At Post After Illness. Post, Dec. 1 (Special)---Last rites for Mrs. Rosa Nell Sorgee, 47, who died at her home in Post at 6:15 o'clock Sunday morning following a long illness, were conducted at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon.

Rev. J. E. Stephens, superannuated Methodist minister was to officiate at the services, assisted by Rev. A. B. Cockrell, pastor. Burial was to follow in Terrace cemetery under supervision of Mason and Company Funeral home.

Mrs. Sorgee was born in Fort Worth and had made her home in Post for 35 years. Survivors are her husband, Bennie Sorgee; a son, L. D. Stevens, jr., Lubbock; a daughter, Mrs. Dixie Nell Billings, Santa Fe, N. M.; two grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. O. B. Cardwell, Post, and Mrs. Jettie Coleman, Dallas.
