She died on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000, in her residence. She was born on May 4, 1907, in Porum, Okla. She married Louis D. Stevens in January 1932 in Oklahoma. He died in December 1971. She was a past president of the Lubbock Cotton Exchange auxiliary. She was a Christian Scientist. Survivors include three sons, Jerry W. of Lewisville, Tom of Chapel Hill and Mike of Mandeville, La.; a brother; two sisters; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Family members will receive friends at Rix Funeral Directors in Lubbock from 8 p.m. until 9 p.m. today.
