Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier, Waterloo Iowa, Wednesday, July 6, 2016: Cedar Falls---Virginia "Peggy" Kirkpatrick, 87, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, July 4, at Cedar Falls Health Care Center. She was born Oct. 25, 1928, in Sleepy Eye, Minn., daughter of Claude and Matilda Junneman Bresson. She married Wendell Kirkpatrick on Dec. 7, 1946, in Waterloo. He preceded her in death in 2005. She graduated from Waterloo East High School and was a cook at North Cedar Elementary School. Survived by: a son, Kevin (Brenda) of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Kathi Kirkpatrick of Yonkers, N.Y., and Trish (Ed) Hander of Columbia, Mo.; two grandchildren, Amy (Jerahmi) Conkling and Jonathan (Christine) Hander; four great-grandchildren, Jameson and Jackson Conkling and Austin and Ashley Hander; three brothers, Claude (Helen) Bresson of Raymond, Gerald (Jill) Bresson of Joplin, Mo., and Larry Bresson of Florida; and four sisters, Adeline Bresson of California, Dorothy (George) White of Waverly, Loretta (Dean) Priebe of Arizona and Betty Curtis of New Mexico. Preceded in death by: her parents; stepmother, Mary Louie Coverdill; and four brothers, James, Kenneth, Kerry and Robert Bresson. Services: 11 a.m. Friday, July 8, at Richardson Funeral Service, with visitation from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, Cedar Falls.
