Roy Vernon Good, 56, of 6692 Wineville, Mira Loma, died at a Riverside hospital yesterday after a short illness. He is survived by his wife Hettie of Mira Loma; three sons, Roy Goo Jr., with the U.S. Navy in Honolulu, Bill and Lynn of Mira Loma; two daughters, Mrs. Audry Garrett of Lancaster, and Mrs. Yvonne Byers of El Cerrito, and seven grandchildren. Two daughters preceded him in death. Mr. Good was born Jan. 23, 1903, in Tennessee. He came to Stanton, Calif., from Canadian, Texas, in 1943 and worked in the shipyards there for three years. He moved to Mira Loma in 1946 and worked for a short time as a carpenter in new housing construction in Pomona. In 1947 he became an employee of the Pacific Fruit Express, a company which makes refrigerator cars. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Bell-Thomas Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday.
