Posted at findagrave.com: Dean Leroy Cass was born April 25, 1921, at Beaver City, to Cecile Lottie (Clason) and Alin William James Cass. He died Jan 21, 1996 at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln. He was a life long resident of Beaver City and graduated from Beaver City High School in 1938. Following graduation, he taught rural school until he went into the U.S. Army during WWII, serving until Nov. 22, 1945. On Feb. 14, 1942, he married Mary Warner at McCook. Three sons and two daughters were born to this union. He farmed north of Beaver City and was a Cargill Seed salesman for 40 years until retirement in 1994. He was a charter member of the VFW at Beaver City and had been a Furnas County Veterans Service Officer for 10 years, retiring in December, 1994. Funeral services were held at the Grace Brethren Church in Beaver City. Interment was at Mount Hope Cemetery at Beaver City with graveside military rites.
