Amarillo Globe Times, Amarillo, Texas, Thursday, September 9, 1965, Page 50, Col. 2: Stratford---Mrs. Julie Katherine Willey, 78, of 308 N. 3rd, died at 5:20 a.m. Thursday in Memorial Hospital in Dumas. She had been a Stratford resident 35 years. Mrs. Willey was a native of Iowa and was a member of the First Christian Church in Stratford. Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Madge Holt of El Paso, and Mrs. Maude Mahoney of Stratford; sons Johnny Joe of Stratford and Ivan of Farmington, N. M.; a sister Mrs. Joe McMahan of Calumet, Okla.; and brother, Bryan Clason of Stratford and Henry Clason of Ojo, Calif. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Boxwell Bros Funeral Directors in Stratford.

The Rev. Cecil Bever, pastor, officiated, assisted by the Rev. Mike Upchurch, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Burial was in the Stratford Cemetery by Boxwell Bros. Funeral Directors. Mrs. Willey died Thursday in Dumas Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Perryton. Surviving are two daughters, two sons, two sisters and two brothers.
