Among the many weddings listed for the last of September is that of Miss Frances Elizabeth Pratt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Pratt of Sumner avenue, and John E. Packard, Jr., of Beverly, son of Mrs. and Mrs. J. E. Packard of Chicago, Ill. The ceremony will take place Tuesday, the 29th at 11, in the rectory of Holy Name church. Rev. Thomas A. McGovern will perform the ceremony, after which a wedding breakfast for members of the immediate families will be held at the home of the bride-elect's parents. Miss Pratt has chosen her sister, Miss Christine M. Pratt, for her only attendant, and Harold J. Pratt, brother of the bride-elect, will serve Mr. Packard as best man. The couple will go to Bermuda on their wedding trip, and will be at home after November 1 at Beverly. Miss Pratt is a graduate of Central High school and has been employed as secretary by Paine, Webber & Co. investment brokers. Mr. Packard is a graduate of Princeton university, and is connected with the A. C. Lawrence Leather company.

From Springfield Republican, Springfield, Mass., Oct. 11, 1931, page 33: Mrs. John E. Packard, Jr. was before her recent marriage Miss Frances Elizabeth Pratt of Sumner avenue. The couple will make their home at Beverly following a motor trip.

Records from the Port of New York show that John and Elizabeth left Hamilton, Bermuda on Oct. 8, 1931 and returned to New York Oct. 10, 1931. They sailed on the S. S. Pan America. Their home address is 13 Ives St., Beverly, Massachusetts.

Springfield Union, Springfield, Mass., July 10, 1949, page 16: Mrs. John E. Packard Jr. of Marblehead is visiting her sister, Mrs. Robert P. Duncan of North Main St., East Longmeadow, while her husband and two sons, Jack III and Danny, are on a motor trip to Foreman, Ark., to visit his parents. Mrs. Packard is the former Elizabeth Pratt.
