Robert (Bob) Simmons of Nampa, Idaho, passed away on December 25, 2012 at home unexpectedly. He was 91 years old at the time of his death. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, and his wife, Delyte, of 60 years. He served in Army Air Corps during WWII where he met the love of his life. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 32 years. After retiring he traveled with his wife. He was a member of Nampa First Church of the Nazarene. He was an avid BSU Bronco fan and alumni of Boise Junior College where he played football. He is survived by his brother, Jack; his daughter, Joan; son, Tom (Terri); two granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Joyce for her kindness and companionship. The family has placed their trust in Alsip Funeral Chapel for care of Robert and his final arrangements. A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 31, 2012 at 3:00 pm at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, 10100 Horseshoe Bend Rd, Boise, ID 83714-9521.
