Only initials are used for first and middle names. everyone checks back except a female age 3, with the initials C. B. does not show up in later census records. Also son J. N. Garry is the only one noted as not being able to read and write and he is 18 years old.

On the 1900 U. S. Census of Washington, Crawford Co., Kansas Larkin Geary is listed with Sarah C., James M., Mildred I., and Gladys. Their daughter May F. Swain and granddaughter Viola M. Swain, John A. Gossett, son-in-law, Myrtle M. Gossett daughter and Cyrina M. grand daughter, along with a boarder, Robert Robinson age 29 round out the household. Listed directly below this household is Arthur L. Geary and his wife Katie D. John Gossett is a timberman for a coal company and Larkin, James and Arthur farmers.
