Abilene Reporter News, Abilene, Texas, Monday, July 23, 1973, Page 9, Cols. 4 & 5: Sweetwater (RNS) ---Mrs. Ruby Grace Aycock, 79, of Sweetwater died early Sunday afternoon in Simmons Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the First United Methodist Church in Sweetwater.The Rev. Alvin Cooley, pastor and the Rev. John Spragen, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Sweetwater Cemetery under direction of McCoy Funeral Home. Mrs. Aycock was born May 16, 1893, in Cisco. She married John Aycock May 28, 1917, in Eastland. They moved to Sweetwater in 1918 where they established the Sweetwater Marble and Granite Works. Mr. Aycock died March 1, 1973. Mr. Aycock was a charter member of the Self Culture Club. She belonged to the First United Methodist Church whee she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a graduate of Britton College, now Cisco Junior College with a degree in music. Survivors are two sons, Jack of Sweetwater and Joe of Wichita Fass; three grandchildren; a sister, Mr. E. F. Duncan of Roscoe and a brother, Ernie Wilson of Knox City. Pallbearers will be A. J. Grubbs, Len Brazelton, Cecil Gent, Charlie Watson, Allen Price and Bob Summers.
