Born December 21, 1911, in Centerfield, Sanpete County, Utah to Charles Edward Embley and Lillie Roylance Embley. Married A. Clark Phelps, July 28, 1935, in Salt Lake City, later solemnized March 17, 1936, in the Manti Temple. Registered Nurse Degree in 1932 - LDS School of Nursing, LDS Hospital. Received Masters Degree from U of U while employed at Cottonwood Hospital as Head Clinical Coordinator. Retired 1976. Later years she did extensive Genealogical service at LDS Genealogy Library. Relief Society President, Stratford East Ward, Highland Stake. She and her husband were active in Utah Square Dance Association for many years.

Bathea is survived by her husband, A. Clark, Salt Lake City; a daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Diana Carol) Floyd, Victorville, Calif.; and sons, Thomas C. (Sandra), Arlington, Virg.; and James E., New York City, New York; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 20th, 2 p.m., Crystal Heights 2nd Ward, 1970 East Stratford Avenue (2560 South). Friends may call at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, Monday, 6-8 pm, and at the Ward Tuesday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Larkin Sunset Lawn.
