On the U. S. Censuses for 1900, 1920, 1920 Cedar, Boone Co., Missouri, Silas appears with his parents and later his children. His wife Laura appears only in 1910. He is divorced on one census and a widower on another. In 1930 Silas and his sons Floyd and Alfred are at Kansas City, Jackson Co., Missouri. They are lodgers at a boarding house on Cherry Street. Silas is a labor on the streets and Alfred is a laborer in a box factory.
