Lamont Ray Briscoe

On the 1930 U. S. Census of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Co., Oklahoma, Lamont Briscoe and his wife Eloise appear in the household of his father, Alfred E. Briscoe. Lamont is a laborer at the Ford Motor Company and Alfred is a stockman. It appears that Lamont and Eloise have just married as she shows her age as 20 as well as age at marriage. All three are lodgers in a boardinghouse or hotel.

Obituary from the Oregonian, October 2, 1986: LaMont R. Briscoe, a Portland area resident for 35 years, died Monday in a local hospital. He was 82. There will be no funeral. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Kansas City, Mo. Mr. Briscoe was born in Frederick, Okla, and served with the U. S. Navy for four years. He lived in Muskogee, Okla for five years before moving to Portland in 1951. He moved to King City in 1967. Mr. Briscoe retired in 1967 as a manufacturer's representative for a women's clothing goods company where he worked for 15 years. Survivors include his wife, Edith, and one brother, Wendell F. of Anadarko, Okla. The family suggests remembrances to contributions to the St. Vincent Hospital and Medical Center cancer center.
