Clason, 78, Independence, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 1986, in a nursing home at 1600 Kings Highway, where he lived. He was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Clason worked for Belger Cartage Service, Inc. for 30 years and retired as a crew foreman and heavy hauler in 1971. He was a Baptist and a Navy veteran of World War II. His survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lola M. Clason, Kansas City; a daughter, Betty Brainerd, Prairie Village; a stepdaughter, Elise Joy, Hay Springs, Neb.; two sisters, Velma Cassidy, Kansas City, Kan., and Alice McCool, Colorado; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Muehlebach Chapel, Kansas City. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel.
