She was born June 18, 1920, in Rooks County to George Sr. and Celesta Glendening. Preceded in death by: husband, Laurence; daughter, Jill Russell; three brothers; and a sister. Survivors: daughters, Judy Doerfler (Gerald), of Codell, and Cindy Uloho (Godwin), of Wichita; son, Bruce (Paula), of Codell; son-in-law, Jim Russell (Elise), of Plainville; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. June was laid to rest Wednesday, Dec. 8, next to her husband in Shiloh Cemetery, north of Codell. Memorial service: 2:30 p.m. today, Dec. 10, at First Baptist Church, Codell. Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell, handled arrangements.
