RESEARCHER: Well over 200 names were copied by Catharine Borden Mason into her brown research notes of this man's children and posterities. They had nine children. A great grandson named Gail Borden 3rd. in 1856 patented his celebrated condensed milk in Texas. Hence there is a county in Texas named for him and a town of Gail. Gail's son headed up Borden Condensed milk in Chicago. Gail was a good friend of Stephen F. Austin in Texas.
