Davis, 72, of Wappapello died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 1994, at Dexter Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Davis was born Aug. 13, 1921, in Scott County. She had lived in Wappapello 23 years, and was a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Diehlstadt. On Oct. 24, 1937, she married Frank Shelby Davis. He survives. Also surviving are three sons, Fred H. Davis of Troy, Mo., Frank S. Davis, Jr.. of Tulsa, Okla., and Michael D. Davis of San Antonio, Texas; three daughters Linda Cross of San Antonio, Texas, Deborah Tesson of Lemay, Mo., and Deanne Pennington of West Plains; three brothers, Albert Kirkpatrick of Baltimore, Md., L. C. Kirkpatrick of Mountain Grove and Sanford Kirkpatrick of Akron, Ohio; two sisters, Lorene Friend and Florence Ferrell, both of East Prairie; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston followed by the funeral at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
