Calhoun Times, Calhoun, Gordon Co., Georgia, May 18, 1961: Mrs. J. T. Aycock dies Monday, Mrs. J. T. Aycock, 88, of Cartersville died Monday at 7:30 a.m. at a Rome rest home. Mrs. Aycock had been in declining health for a year. Born in DeKalb County, she was a pioneer citizen of Gordon County, living here since 1890. Mrs. Aycock resided in Cartersville for the past 16 years and was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church. Her husband preceded her in death 22 years ago. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, Cartersville. Burial was in Salem Cemetery, Gordon County. Survivors include two sons W. S. Nix of Lexington and Jule Aycock of Miami; three daughters, Mrs. Boyce L. Pass of Calhoun, Mrs. Robert Jackson of Tucson, Ariz., and Mrs. Sarah Jordan of Lake Park, Fla., and two sisters, Mr. J. H.
