Forrest City---Mrs. Van Louis McDaniel Ryan, aged 58, of The Woodlands, Tex., formerly of Forrest City, a former Miss Arkansas, died Saturday. She was named Miss Arkansas in 1948 at the age of 19 while she was a student at Rollins College at Winter Park, Fla. She was a volunteer worker with the American Cancer Society, a member of the Museum of Fine Arts and the Stewart Society and was a Presbyterian. Survivors are a son, William D. Tucker, Jr. of Seminole, Fla.; a daughter Tina Grace Fogg of The Woodlands; a sister, Tina McDaniel Freeman of New Orleans, and four grandchildren. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church at Forrest City. Burial will be in Forrest Park Cemetery by Stevens Funeral Home of Forrest City.
