Sylvanus Edward Kirkpatrick

Sylvanus (Silvanus?) Edward Kirkpatrick was the third child of Ellis and Ann (Fowler) Kirkpatrick. He was born in Tennessee 12 Novmeber 1824 and died 10 January 1890. He is buried in the cemetery located in the upper end of Tinsley's Bottom in Clay County, Tennessee. On 4 September 1845 in Jackson County, Tennessee he married Lenora M. Roberts, who was born about 1828 in Tennessee. She probably predeceassed Sylvanus, and he may have married a second wife, Sally G. _____, who was born ca. 1830-1835 and died 5 March 1905 in Tinsley's Bottom, Clay County, Tennessee.
There were seven (7) children born of the marriage.
On the 1880 U. S. Census of District 1, Clay Co., Tennessee, Silo Kirkpatrick appears with his wife Sallie and children James R., Albert, Annie, Martha, Lenora, Lydia J. and Mary. Also in the household is a granddaughter listed as Dada Kirkpatrick age 6. Silo is a farmer.
