The News and Courier, Charleston, South Carolina, 1 Sep 1978: Columbia---Mrs. Annie Steedly Yongue, 67, wife of Henry Lee Yongue Sr., died Thursday in a local hospital. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Convent Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Edgewood [Elmwood] Cemetery, Fort Lawn, directed by Dunbar Funeral Home. Mrs. Yongue was born at Branchville, a daughter of the late Hammond Daniel Steedly and Mrs. Elizabeth Hunter Steedly. She was a retired librarian with Eau Clark [Clair] High School and a member of Convent Presbyterian Church. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are: three sons, Henry D. Yongue Jr. of Jonesboro, Ga., John Daniel Yongue of Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., and Charles Clarence Yongue of Charlottesville, Va.; a brother, Hammond D. Steedly Jr. of Bamberg; a sister, Mrs. Edna S. Chute of Goose Creek.
