Samuel Kirkpatrick

Samuel Kirkpatrick was born in 1772 and was the youngest son of Francis Kirkpatrick's first marriage. his wife was Jane or Jean Steele. The pair were married circa 1800. Samuel was born in South Carolina, but migrated to Jackson County, Tennessee. In about 1837, he moved to Scott County, Missouri, where he lived the remainder of his life. He died in Wayne County, Missouri, while visiting one of his sons. Jane (Steele) Kirkpatrick, Samuel's wife died in 1848 in Scott County, Missouri. Day Jewell identifies four of Samuel's children. We find a fifth son.
On the 1850 U. S. Census of Scott Co., Missouri, Samuel is living in the household of his son, Francis.
