Posted at findagrave.com: June Mears Curry (Froelich), 91, formerly of Abilene, KS, died at 9:45 P.M. Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Seven Lakes Memory Care in Loveland, CO. Funeral service will be held at Viegut Funeral Home, 1616 North Lincoln, Loveland, CO on Monday, December 30th at 11:00 A.M. Graveside services will be on Thursday, January 2nd in the Abilene Cemetery, Abilene, KS at 11:00 A.M.; a luncheon at the Brookville Hotel will follow.June was born in Beloit, KS to John and Lorena Mears on December 8, 1922. She went to High School in Enterprise, KS and graduated in 1941. She went on to attend business school in Kansas City. June loved dancing, interior design, journaling, gardening, reading, 50's era music and was, for many years, was very active in her church. But her grandchildren were the light of her life.June is preceded in death by her parents, J.C. and Lorena; brother Jack Mears; beloved husband Harold; and the late Max Froelich, to whom she was married for 25 years.June is survived by her brother James Robert Mears; four children, sons Jerry and John (Linda) Curry; daughters Jane Curry Brooks and June Simon (Dan); step children Suzanne Jordan, Paul and John Froelich; grandchildren Stacey, , Andrea Jason, Chad, Jeri ,Erin, Jonathan and Jerad; and 13 great-grandchildren.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Memory Bridge (A Foundation for Alzheimer's and Cultural Memory); www.memorybridge.org) in care of Viegut Funeral Home.
