Harry was born December 28, 1925 in Omaha, Nebraska. He was a World War II and Korean War veteran, serving in the Navy on the USS Barnwell. He was employed by Union Asphalt in Kansas City, Kansas. After retiring in 1984, he relocated to Sun City, Arizona. Harry was a member of American Lutheran Church. Harry was preceded in death by his parents: Howard and Victoria Failing; his brother Eldred and his twin brother Harvey. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ginny Lininger Failing of Sun City, Arizona; his sister-in-law Aloise Failing of Sun City West, Arizona; his sister-in-law Betty Failing of Sun City, Arizona; daughter Pamela Johnson (Rick) of Kansas City, Missouri; son Mark Failing (Diane) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; son Scott Failing of Raytown, Missouri; son Trent Failing (Debbie) of Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren: Rob Johnson of Kansas City, Missouri; Amy Hankins of Olathe, Kansas; Charissa Failing of Wheaton, Illinois; Andy Failing of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Matthew and Melissa Failing of Kansas City, Missouri; and great grandchildren: Zachary, Ashlynne and Jacob Hankins of Olathe, Kansas. Service and interment were held Monday, March 2, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. at West Lawn Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska.
