Schafer, 58, died unexpectedly during the night at her home at 7806 Marion Lane, Bethesda. Death followed a coronary occlusion. A resident of Washington for 25 years, Mrs. Schafer assisted her husband in the rental department of the Howard R. Schafer real estate agency. Born in Richmond, Va., she attended college there. She was member of Chevy Chase Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Howard R. Schafer, three daughters, Mrs. Paul Hopper of 15900 Flack street, Silver Spring; Mrs. Florence Olson of 321 Mount Vernon Place, Rockville; and Mrs. Howard R. Younkin of Oden Court, Rockville; one sister, Mrs. Regina Hanley of Huntington, W. Va. and seven grandchildren. Services will be Thursday at 11:45 a.m. at Pumphrey Funeral Home, 7557 Wisconsin avenue, Bethesda. Burial will be in Parklawn Cemetery on Viers Mill road.
