Born March 27, 1930 in Portsmouth, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Howard Richard and Virginia Elizabeth Puckett Schafer. She owned the operated Fair Properties in Frederick for many years.

She is survived by four daughters, Donna Logan of Hancock, Marilyn Wojcik of Gettysburg, Pa., Jean Miller of Richmond, Va., and Virginia Staley of Woodsboro; two sisters, Pauline Hooper of Hancock, and Florence Olson of Gaithersburg; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
