Cornwell Jr. of Spartanburg died in a Florence hospital after a heart attack at 8 a.m. Friday. He was a bookkeeper for Gardner's Appliance. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at Waters Funeral Home by Dr. Edward L. Byrd. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Chester, with the Rev. William R. Bussey officiating at 2:30 p.m. A native of Chester, he was a son of the late William E. and Frances Eleanor Cornwell of Chester.
