The Charlotte Observer, Charlotte, North Carolina, Saturday, July 14, 1990: Miss Margaret Z. Miller, 74, of Edgemont, N.C., formerly of Fort Lawn, died July 13, 1990, in the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. Funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday at Mahaffey Funeral Home Chapel in Lancaster with the Rev. J.B. Linder officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Fort Lawn. Visitation is 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at Mahaffey Funeral Home. Miss Miller was born in Great Falls, a daughter of the late Author [Arthur] E. and Mattie Kirkpatrick Miller. She was a graduate of Elon College and retired elementary school teacher. She taught in the Caldwell County School System for 30 years. She was a member of the North Carolina Retired Teachers Association, the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority and the Fort Lawn United Methodist Church. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Fort Lawn United Methodist Church, Fort Lawn, S.C. 29714 or to the Elon College Development Fund, Elon, N.C.
