Kirkpatrick Jr., 47, Great Bend, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Ball and Son Funeral Home, McPherson, the Rev. C. W. Cones, officiating. Burial will be in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, McPherson. Mr. Kirkpatrick died Wednesday at Hoisington Hospital following a 6 month illness. He was born July 29, 1930, at McPherson and graduated from Marquette High School. He was a draftsman. Survivors are two sons, Robert J. III, living in Texas, David, Chicago, Ill.; three daughters, Mrs. Debbie Haden and Mrs. Mrs. Susie Grillo, both of Salina, and Mrs. Kathy Jones, Sherman, Tex.; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Kirkpatrick Sr., Linsborg; a brother, John, Quincy, Ill.; six sisters, Mrs. Barbara Hauer, Big Pine, Calif.; Mrs. Ruth Hanson, Salt Lake City, Utah; Mrs. June Dexheimer, El Cajon, Calif.; Mary Lou Yadon, Manchester, Mo.; Mrs. Donna Peterson, Salina, and Mrs. Sue Gohn, Bozeman, Mont.; and two grandchildren. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Married five times. Fifth wife, Ruth Maxine Winane, married 24 Feb. 1959; he died Dec. 1977.
