The Banner Press, Marble Hill, Missouri, January 16, 1964: Funeral services were held Friday at McGee Chapel near Grassy for Joseph M. Kirkpatrick, 79 year old retired farmer who died Tuesday at his home in the Glen Allen community. Mr. Kirkpatrick was born November 23, 1884 near Patton, a son of the late John C. and Eliza Green Kirkpatrick. On July 4, 1907, he married Earsa Jones, who survives. He was a member of the Methodist Church. He is also survived by three sons, Alvis Kirkpatrick of Glen Allen, Joe W. Kirkpatrick of Poplar Bluff, and Clarence Odell Kirkpatrick of Granite City, Ill; a brother, Logan Kirkpatrick of Dexter, 19 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren.
