The Daily Sentinel, Grand Junction, Colorado, Wednesday, April 23, 2008--Deceased Name: Jeane Elizabeth Clymer, February 14, 1919 - April 20, 2008. Jeane Elizabeth (Kirkpatrick) Clymer went to be with her Savior Sunday, April 20, 2008. She was surrounded by family and friends as she took her last breath in this life and opened her eyes, surrounded by family and friends, in the next. Our lives are what they are because of her. It will be with the tang of loneliness that we remember her as our lives go on. Jeane was born to Karl and Elizabeth Kirkpatrick on Valentine's Day 1919 in Sheridan, Montana. She was preceded in death by Bud, her husband of 66 1/2 years; her brothers Arthur and James Kirkpatrick; grandson Eric Bates, and great grandson Isaiah White. Jeane eloped and married her high school sweetheart, Winfield "Bud" Clymer, September 11, 1938. Together they had three children, Kay Clymer and Robin Clymer of Grand Junction and Jolene Henry of Maryland. They boasted of five grandchildren, Tami Duran (Ron), Sheli Mae (Kimber), Lori Von Burg, Deena Von Burg, and Arther Bates; 13 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren. Jeane and Bud moved to Phoenix in 1963. She was active in Phoenix Writers Club and excelled in oil painting. Her paintings grace the homes of many. She was quite the writer too, having been published many times. Jeane was also an instructor in both Dale and Dorothy Carnegie. After 20 years in the desert, Jeane talked Bud into returning to Grand Junction, to the family she held dear. They lived out on 27 Road until Bud's passing in '06. Jeane lived in her apartment, then on to Grand Villa for five short months. She never got over being without Bud, so she finally joined him when the angels carried her Home last Sunday evening. A celebration of Jeane's life will be Thursday April 24 at The Lighthouse Church, 3506 N 12th St. Viewing at 1:00 p.m. and ceremony at 2:00 p.m..
