The Daily Sentinel, Grand Junction, Colorado, May 4, 1987, Page 3 B: Elizabeth Kirkpatrick, a resident of Phoenix, Ariz., for 17 years, died there Thursday at the Bel Isle Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. She was 94. Mrs. Kirkpatrick was a seamstress. She was born Feb. 9, 1893 to Richard and Alice Boyce Clarke at Miles City, Mont., where she spent her childhood and attended schools. She married Karl J. Kirkpatrick, June 26, 1912, at Miles City, Mont. They lived in Helena, Mont., and Blackfoot, Idaho, before moving to the Western Slope. Mr. Kirkpatrick was employed by the U.S. Forest Service, and the couple lived in Montrose, Mancos, and Delta before making their home in Grand Junction in 1933. He died June 12, 1962. Mrs. Kirkpatrick enjoyed craft work, flowers, and designing and sewing gowns. She was a lifetime member of the First Methodist Church, where she was active in the Ladies Aid Society. Survivors include a daughter, Jeane Clymer of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sons, James R. of Grand Junction and Arthur G. of Fort Collins; a sister, Alice Pankonin of Seal Beach, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 10:30 am. Wednesday at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Keith Hudibugh of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be from 2-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Martin's Mortuary, which is in charge of arrangements.
