Madison Wisconsin State Journal, Madison, Wisconsin, Wednesday, November 25, 1992, Page 9, Cols. 2 & 3: Platteville---Maynard Boldt, age 81, of Platteville, died on Monday morning, November 23, 1992, in Parkview Terrace Nursing Home in Platteville. He was born on May 20, 1911, in Platteville, the son of George and Regina Wunderlin Boldt. He married the former Helen Ludwig on February 26, 1949, in Platteville. She died December 3, 1990. They farmed near Platteville until 1960 when they moved into town. From then until retiring in 1976 he worked at the University of Wisconsin at Platteville. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Platteville. Surviving are two sons, Stan (Judy) Boldt of Platteville, and John (Barb) Boldt of Bristol, Wisconsin; and four grandchildren, Jane, Greg, Amy, and Adam. Besides his wife and his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Arletta "Sis" Blackman; and five brothers, Dick, George, Albert, Herbert "Derby" and Joe Boldt. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday's, November 27, 1992, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, in Platteville, Father Michael Doro will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Platteville. Friends may call from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Bonin-Bendorf Funeral Home, in Platteville.
