Burlington Hawk Eye, Burlington, Iowa, Monday, October 30, 1967, Page 8, Col. 3: Mrs. Edith Emily Kirkpatrick, 75, of New London, a long-time resident of Burlington, died in Mercy hospital, Burlington, early Monday morning. Mrs. Kirkpatrick was employed at the old Wells-LaMont-Smith Corp. for 20 years. She was a native of Des Moines County and was born June 3, 1892, near Augusta, the daughter of Frank and Mary Breuer Hand. She married Dallas H. Kirkpatrick at Mt. Pleasant on Aug. 23, 1912; he died Nov. 11, 1950. Mrs. Kirkpatrick was a member of the Christian church. Surviving: Sons Max Kirkpatrick of Burlington and Dale Kirkpatrick of Ft. Myers, Fla.; daughter Mrs. Velma Bugg of New London; sisters, Mrs. Edna McCabe of Elliott and Mrs. Florence Hale and Mrs. Inez Gulick, both of New London; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services: Thursday at 1:30 at the Elliott Chapel, New London, the Rev. Clarence Morrison, Pleasant Hill cemetery at Mt. Pleasant.
