Ruth Taylor was born 14 March 1920. She married on 10 November 1945 to Vernon Russell who was born 11 April 1917 and died 31 May 1982.

She was born March 14, 1920 in Roseville to Fred and Jessie Simmons Taylor; she married Vernon Russell on Nov. 10, 1945 in Roseville. He preceded her in death on May 31, 1982. She was born and raised in Roseville, where she lived her entire life. She was an active member of the Roseville Baptist Church. She loved to bake, knit, crochet and loved her family, most of all her grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters; Mary (Walter) Boller, Galesburg, Marjorie Taylor, Warrenville; one son, Philip (Rose) Russell, Roseville; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and one brother Robert C. Taylor, Wheaton. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008 at the Corman Memorial Home Roseville, where visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Roseville Memorial Park.
