Norma Marie Kirkpatrick was born 5 February 1930. On 19 June 1957, she married Carroll James Henderson who was born 1 December 1930.

Born in Monmouth, IL February 5, 1930, Norma was the daughter of Frank Chester Kirkpatrick and Reva Marie (Davis) Kirkpatrick. She was raised on the family farm, roughly one mile east of Roseville, along with her brother, Donald Charles Kirkpatrick. Norma began her education in a one-room schoolhouse near her family home. A 1948 graduate of Roseville High School, Norma later attended Brown's Business College in Galesburg, IL. She worked as a receptionist in the Roseville school system, and later took a position as a bank teller at the Roseville State Bank. Norma married Carroll James Henderson on June 19, 1957 in the Kirkpatrick family home in Roseville. Carroll and Norma went on to have three children, Kirk, Krista and Kent, who were all raised in Roseville. Norma was always active in her community as well as being a caring mother and homemaker. She was often busy raising three children and supporting their various school and organizational endeavors. She was also an active member of several local clubs, including the Roseville Women's Club, the T.T.T. Club, and the WSCS club. Norma enjoyed many creative pursuits, among them gardening, baking, sewing and craft projects. Many local residents will recall her exceptional sewing skills, as she often performed expert alterations for wedding and prom dresses, as well as a variety of other clothes. Her skills in flower arranging and gardening were also well known to area residents, and Norma entered numerous prize-winning floral arrangements in the Warren County Fair flower shows. With her husband, Carroll, they renovated and maintained the 19th century home that they purchased in 1962, making it their home together for nearly 50 years. Norma's husband, Carroll, preceded her in death on June 18, 2010. Norma is survived by her children: Kirk (and wife Jennifer) of Atlanta, GA; Krista of Roseville, IL; Kent of Chicago, IL; grandchildren Abigail and Emma of Atlanta, GA. Visitation will be held at the Corman Memorial Home in Roseville, Friday, March 16, from 5-7pm.
