Robert Stephen Grant was born 11 June 1904 in Wynona, Osage County, Oklahoma. He married on 24 October 1931 at Seligman, Barry County, Missouri, to Erma Estelle Greenhaw, daughter of Harve Goodman and Ina Elva (Kent) Greenhaw. She was born 11 November 1907 at Mount Judea, Newton County, Arkansas. They were living in 1956 in Sacramento, Sacramento County, California.

Grant, 57, part owner of the Capitol Auto Specialty, a tune up and brake shop at 2800 S Street. Grant died yesterday morning in his home, 310 37th Street. He had been under the care of a physician. He was a member of th First Baptist Church and the Sacramento Chapter of the Independent Garage Owners Association.
Surviving are his wife, Estelle; daughters, Mrs. Shirley G. Hornbeck and Mrs. Ruth Mathes, both of Sacramento; his mother, Mrs. John Grant of Oklahoma; sister, Mrs. Arthur F. Davenport, also of Oklahoma, and four grand children.
The services will begin at 1 PM in the Andrews & Greilich Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Sierra Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
