The Times Recorder (Zanesville, Ohio) 16 Dec 1976, page 13. Transcribed from image at newspapers.com.James G. (Red) Hardman, 63, formerly of 785 Pine st., died at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Altman Hospital in Canton following a long illness.
Mr. Hardman was born April 16, 1913 in Cramford, [sic] N.J. and was a resident of the area for 33 years. He was employed as a truck driver for the Standard Oil Company and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was an army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his widow, the former Merle M. Pedigo; two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Maxine) Thompson of 5300 Twin Hills dr. and Mrs. Robert (Sharon) Hedges of 72 Halley dr., South Zanesville; one brother, Charles O. Hardman of Wheeling, W. Va.; and five grandchildren.
The body will be taken to the Bryan Funeral Home where friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
