Barbara M. Pearson - Pueblo Chieftain - March 26, 2006 - Barbara M. Pearson, 76, born in Pueblo, Oct. 30, 1929, passed away March 23, 2006. Survived by loving husband of 56 years, Lawrence M. Pearson; children, Dr. Lawrence F. (Monica) Pearson, Calif.; Kenneth B. (Elaine) Pearson, Denver; Judith (John) Davis, Montrose; Brian J. (Tiffiney) Pearson, Colorado Springs; grandchildren, Nicole, Ashley, Stephen, Piper, Kamden and Christopher; sister, Shirley (Robert) Gallagher, Littleton; brother-in-law, Richard Mihalco; and many other relatives and friends and her loving dog, Bonnie. We will miss her very much. Preceded in death by sister, Maurine Mihalco. She was employed at Joslins and Dillards for over 17 years. Barbara was the swim meet manager for the Inaugural (1977) Olympic Sports Festival, was a founder and president of the Pueblo Swim Club, and a member of La Sertoma. Barbara was active in bridge club and enjoyed watching her children participate in sporting events and activities and was very supportive of her children. Viewing 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Rosary 7 p.m. Monday at the George McCarthy Historic Chapel. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of the Meadows Church. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery. In lieu of food and flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Sangre de Cristo Hospice.
