whereas Sir Jas. Pennyman, Lord of the Mannor of Ormsby, and Ralph Elgy, Overseers of the poor, and Rob. Jackson, Churchwarden of the said parish and Constablery, by their indenture bearing date the 30th of this instant January, by them legally executed and allowed in open Court, have agreed that thirty-five yards in length and six yards in breadth of land of the waistes or commons of the said mannor, in the town street of Ormsby, near the bottom of the said town street, betwixt the houses of Nich. Pearson and Thos. Kempby, in the most convenient place, should be allotted for the building of four cottages or convenient dwelling houses for impotent poor people, now destitute of habitation, at the general charge of the parish of Ormsby aftersaid ..."
