Daniel HUNT Jr.

There are confusingand contradictory allegations about this man. His father Daniel is reported (erroneously) in some sources as marrying Agnes Bailey and being the father of George Washington Hunt of Randolph Co., MO, who was the father of Arizona Governor George Wyllie Paul Hunt. Other sources say that the son, subject Daniel Jr., m. Agnes Barlar and was the father of George Washington Hunt. Other sources, (e.g. the 1930 DAR Memorial to his father) say Daniel Hunt Jr., died young; other sources say he m. 26 March 1833 Sarah L. Thurmond. For a man who lived so long suprisingly little has been found of him, but he was not the Daniel Hunt who with a brother Nathan was the founder of Huntsville, Randolph Co., MO
