John Martin NEWMAN

John Martin was known as Jack. He was born in 1840 the third son and eighth child of Isaac and Nancy Jane Unsell Newman. Two marriages are recorded for him, the first on Feb.... Mary A. Wood The second marriage is recorded in Logan County, to Alexander Hardison, through this is believed to be in error. Her name in other records is Sarah Frances Hardison. The marriage took place on November 29, 1865. The Muhlenberg County censuses do not reflect the faily living in the county after the marriages. However in 1880, John W. and Sarah Newman were listed in Logan County. Four children were in the family. John died in 1921 and is buried in the Lewisburg Cemetery beside Sarah, (1848-1931).
